MOMENTS BLACK POWER TOOK CONTROL OF THE WORLD IN 2020
Year 2020 has been filled with mixed feelings throughout. Black communities across the world haven���������������������������t been an exception.
From success stories that history will never ignore, to some dark moments like racism and police brutality in the US and the #Endsars in Nigeria.
Today, we look back on year 2020 and some of the moments black power rose to meet its challenges.

We can���������������������������t start with a better moment than the Black Lives Matter protest. It might be a dark moment for some who lost loved ones that triggered the protest, but the truth remains that the aftermath of the protest has incredibly impacted change. And steered conversations which people were reluctant to have on racism.
BLM protests were the biggest in black history that took place globally. Who is ready to bet that when Beyonce released the music film, Black is King, it wasn���������������������������t a trending topic? No one I guess *Winks*. It was a moment the world was served the best of entertainment from the black community ��������������������������� not only was the project for entertainment, but it was also a project celebrating and appreciating black people “alignnone size-medium wp-image-1322″ src=”https://thesistersshow.comwp-content/uploads/2020/12/PhotoCollage_20201231_073908627-300×240.jpg” alt=”” width=”300″ height=”240″ />
*(Deep breath)* A tough one, an unexpected one, a sad moment and one we all couldn���������������������������t resist. In January 2020, the world witnessed the loss of Kobe Bryant and his 13 year-old daughter in a plane crash which left us all heart broken.
And come August too, Chadwick Boseman left us after losing his battle with colon cancer. Another unexpected loss of a legend. These two events portrayed how black celebrities were impacting the world in one way or another. In an article we published when the US elections were announced, we wrote:
���������������������������When the next generation of people of colour comes, they will read a history about their ancestors who broke barriers and held the highest political positions in powerful countries ��������������������������� they will realise despite unpleasant and unfortunate moments faced and survived by the black community, people like kamala Harris achieved the extraordinary success���������������������������.
Another protest that saddens most of us ��������������������������� but also created a way for Nigerian youths to be heard. The protest got the attention of international bodies and celebrities who spoke in support of the Nigerian youths. It was a moment that captured the attentions
