Gambia���������������������������s most decorated female sprinter Gina Bass has set a new national record at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics while securing a spot in the 100M meters women.
She finished fourth in the Women���������������������������s 100M with an improving timing of 11:12 seconds, a new national record for The Gambia.
Despite the difference between Tokyo and The Gambia, many living in The Gambia stay up late to watch this fearless woman raise the Gambian flag. After she competed, Gambians rushed to social media to celebrate her achievement.
The Semi-finals for the women���������������������������s 100M is scheduled for the 31st July 2021, while she will also compete in the 200M women planned for 2nd August 2021.
