Gambia National Team Departs for Suadi Ahead of AFCON Finals in Côte d’Ivoire
Exciting News! The Gambia National Team has embarked on a crucial journey for an eight-day technical training camp in Saudi Arabia, gearing up for the upcoming Afcon Finals in Cote D’Ivoire. The Scorpions left the Gambian shores on the 5th of January 2024, starting the new year with a mission to hone their skills and build team spirit. Under the guidance of coach Tom Saintfiet, the team is set to immerse themselves in intensive training sessions, preparing to showcase their prowess on the continental stage. Their return to Banjul on the 9th of January will be marked by a reception from the Presidency, where the team will also hold a press conference with journalists. As the Gambia finds itself in Group C, with a base in Yamossokoro, the tournament journey kicks off on the 15th of January against Senegal at the Charles Konan Banny stadium. Subsequent matches against Guinea on the 19th and Cameroon on the 23rd January 2024 complete the group stage battles. Let’s rally behind our national team! 🇬🇲✨
