After healing and learning more about the complications, Felix spoke in front of the United States House committee in May 2019. She opened up about her experiences as means to “petition the government to tackle systemic biases leading to disparities in maternal mortality and complications.”
Since then, she has worked with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention on the Hear Her Concerns Campaign. She got involved with a Better Start For All to raise more awareness about pregnancy dilemmas.
